Hey guys!! Welcome to “My Adventures!” Since I was a child I have always remembered my grandmother saying that you learn a little bit more about yourself by exposing yourself to things you would have never dreamed of doing. We would go to different types of plays, museums and read books about different parts of the world.
She worked as RN at Ben Tuab Hospital in Houston and had coworkers from all over the world. I remember visiting on several occasions when the floor she worked on would have Christmas dinners or Cultural Diversity days when everyone would bring pictures or a dish that was made to represent the country they were from. There would be authentic Indian dishes from which I have grown to love Falafel and Curry Chicken and even Korean cuisine where I first tried Korean ribs. When everyone would do their presentations of pictures and tell stories about where they were from, I would always ask tons of questions and imagine what each place was like with dreams of one day visiting myself.
So, thanks to my grandmother and her colleagues, I’m sure you can tell that I grew to absolutely adore traveling, meeting new people and experiencing new and exciting things! This blog will be about the different places I’ve been, the sights I’ve seen, as well as a couple of things I wish I had gotten the chance to do while visiting. I’ve been places ranging from Spain to the Bahamas and all over the United States to name a few. Hopefully it will encourage you to think outside the box and open up to travelling as well, whether it is exploring the country or simply roaming around parts of your hometown that you’ve never been. This is my first blog so I hope you enjoy!
I'm jealous of your travels! I've never been outside the continental US so I look forward to hearing more about your travels.
